The resort centre and cable car are just a 3-minutes walk from the chalet and at the end of the day, you can ski right back to the door. The chalet has everything you could wish for including an outdoor hot tub and cinema room, Wi-fi and iPod docking stations throughout, underfloor heating in the bathrooms and a ski room with heated boot warmers for toasty ski gear. Tucked away in the peaceful hamlet of Pattemouche in the municipality of Pragelato, sits Baita 1697, a restored 17th-century Piedmontese farmhouse with a large outdoor hot tub and media room. This gorgeous alpine retreat is so beautifully finished it has graced the pages of many international interior magazines.

The hamlet of Pattemouche is linked to the well-known ski resort of Sestriere in the Milky Way (Via Lattea) ski area with 400km of pistes and at just over an hour and a half from Turin airport it offers access to a large ski area with lovely wide pistes, perfect for skiing with children. With the cable car and a heli-ski launch pad a short 3-minute stroll and ski to door access at the end of the day, the chalet couldn’t be better located. The charming local restaurants in Pattemouche are all within walking distance of the chalet with Italian-French fusion cuisine on offer alongside delicious fondues and raclettes.

Spread out over three floors this 460 square meter chalet luxuriates throughout, with a high-end boutique feel and high-quality fixtures and fittings at every turn. Vaulted ceilings of rough-hewn stone, rustic wood and tactile fur throws bring a relaxed and comfortable feeling to this effortlessly chic luxury ski chalet.

The luxury Chalet Baita 1697 is great for large groups, sleeping up to 18 guests in 6 ultra-luxurious bedrooms and an additional media room with a double pull out bed. Kids will love the dormitory-style room with 6 single beds nestled under the eaves. Each room is finished to hotel standards with custom made Egyptian cotton bed sheets and bathrooms with underfloor heating, top of the range fittings and salon standard hair dryers.

The crown jewel of this luxury ski chalet is the living area with its spectacular vaulted stone ceiling, wood-burning fire, modern furniture and cosy sofas adorned with plenty of throws and pillows. The catering and running of the chalet is a very local affair with a husband and wife team who have been at the chalet for many years offering simple homestyle Italian cooking and personalised service.
