RESORT GUIDE

FOR KIDS

Families will find Cortina to be a delightful playground for children. The Cortina Kids area in Socrepes features jumps, an obstacle course, and a snow playground for endless fun. For even more adventure, Dolomiti Paradise at the ice stadium offers climbing routes, wooden bridges, slides, swings, and rockers. Younger visitors will also love the electric car track, where they can zoom around in child-sized cars, motorbikes, and tractors, creating cherished family memories.

APRES SKI & NIGHTLIFE

Foodies will love a luxury ski holiday to Cortina, with its abundance of restaurants and bars to discover. This Italian ski resort has an excellent choice of mountain restaurants, including the highly reputed Capanna Tondi on Faloria, with its large sun terrace and traditional cuisine. In the village, Cortina has a wide range of dining options, though many of the high-end restaurants are on the outskirts of town.

Cortina can be quite lively, especially in high season when the Italians are out in force. Recommended après-ski spots include the Enoteca and La Suite wine bars.

MOUNTAIN RESTAURANTS

Capanna Tondi on Faloria – It is located at the top of the chairlift Vitelli and there is a large sun terrace where you can eat outside. You must not miss the famous grappas prepared by Mrs Rosa.

Rifugio Averau – The Averau refuge is located right on the slopes of the 5 Torri area and is easy to reach on foot, or on skis. The cuisine is of the highest standard and includes expertly re-appraised traditional dishes from the valleys of the Dolomites, exquisitely prepared and served.

Baita Son Dei Prade – This family-run restaurant-cum-rifugio is strategically located at the side of one of the most popular beginner skiing slopes in Cortina. Furnished in characteristic mountain style, they serve authentic cuisine.

IN RESORT RESTAURANTS

Ristorante Tivoli – This restaurant occupies an attractive Alpine house outside the town centre on the road to the Falzarego pass. It is run by a chef who is completely at ease with both traditional cuisine and more creative fare. Quiet, intimate ambience.

Il Ponte – Il Ponte gets its place on the best restaurants in Cortina due to the wood-fired pizza oven alone but it also serves some great pasta dishes. Plenty of wood in the decor creates a nice rustic feel and the buzzing atmosphere is certainly welcome.

Al Camin – In one of Cortina’s outer villages, You’ll have to book in advance for this one with many people rating it higher than the Michelin-starred option in town. It is arguably the best restaurant in Cortina, serving classic Italian dishes with some great modern twists.
