Overview
Chalet Ferme du Lac Vert is set in the small hamlet of Montriond, this pretty village has a good range of restaurants and ski hire shops. When renovating this stunning property the owners used local artisans to create a luxurious getaway for ski holidays and events all year round.
Come back to the chalet and enjoy a glass of champagne in the hot tub, or rejuvenate muscles in the outdoor barrel sauna. The main living space is large with huge double height ceilings, there is also a separate snug sitting room, ideal for kids or to quietly read a book. Exposed timber beams are beautifully lit with soft lighting and during the day the many windows fill this huge space with light.
The chalet’s friendly staff are experienced and chalet chefs are AA Rosette trained who will cater for your any need. In the evening sit down for a pre dinner glass of house wine, canapes before being served you delicious three course evening meal followed by cheese.
Set in the old farming village of Montriond, this is one of the prettiest rustic areas of Morzine. To reach Morzine’s centre is a short drive to access the Super Morzine and Pleney gondola. To quickly access the Avoriaz area a spectacular drive around the Lac Montriond will take you to Les Lindaret and the Lindarets lift.
The chalet is made up of two properties, the larger Le Lac Vert with 12 bedrooms and then the smaller Petite Ferme which has a further 3 bedrooms. Both properties have their own private hot tub and beautiful interior finish.
The old farmhouse was brought right up to date in 2010 when it was so carefully refurbished. All local materials have been used throughout and exposed stone walls are combined with heavy timber beams, soft furnishings have been draped with furs. Through the beams, chandeliers light the room in the evening.
The theme throughout the interior is rustic luxury, many local antique artefacts have filled the chalet with character and give so much to explore and see.. The heavy stone staircase has a hand crafted metal bannister, which is a piece of artwork in itself!
Each bedroom has been individually finished and has its own name relating to the local area. They differ in size and style with family rooms, large master rooms. There is an Indonesian themed room with four poster bed which is intricately carved and painted. Soak in your roll top bath and use the cowshed bathroom products.
Every detail will be catered for you throughout your stay, including delicious meals created by your AA Rosette chefs. They will cook from scratch you breakfasts, afternoon tea and canapes before your evening meal. Apres ski drinks can be taken at the ice bar on the balcony when conditions allow, alternatively sit out on one of the main outdoor seating areas. Through spring and summer breakfast can be taken al fresco.
This luxury Morzine chalet has been designed to accommodate a large group of us up 32 guests, which makes it ideal for a small wedding party, corporate group or a a large family gathering. Many of the rooms can be fully utilised to make family rooms. The separate Petite Ferme which has 3 bedrooms gives that extra bit of flexibility.
