Chalet le Refuge is all about location location location, being right on the piste - this is a rare and sought after phenomenon in Meribel, France - to be in a genuinely ski-in and ski-out chalet. The property boasts sleek modern interiors, a log burner and a lovely outdoor hot tub to boot. With all the ski catered chalet luxuries thrown in, if you’re a keen group of skiers, it really is a no brainer.

Overview

To stay in a really fabulous luxury chalet in the heart of Meribel is a treat. It is just metres from the ski school meeting point of Chaudanne – the hub of all the ski lifts, taking you up into the massive Three Valleys region.

It is just less than twenty-five metres from the Telecabine de Tougnete, thirty metres from the Legends chairlift, fifty metres from the Saulire Express and seventy-five metres from the Telecabine de Rhodos! The floodlit view of the Stade de Slalom piste from the hot tub in the evening seems so close you’ll feel you can reach out & touch it.

Inside, the chalet is no-nonsense with a fresh and contemporary feel. There is a warming log wood burner in the cosy sitting room, opening up to the dining area. Moving through the chalet, you will find yourself on the bijou terrace with a fantastic hot tub, to enjoy the sun going down behind the mountain tops and the views of the nearby piste.

The bedrooms are all on one floor, which is convenient. They are decorated with whitewashed walls and have everything you would need for a comfortable stay.  Each bedroom has a super smart and crisp en-suite shower room as well. Four of the rooms are twins and one is a double. 

For a really amazing experience of being genuinely right on the slopes, this is a definite big tick for skiers and snowboarders alike on that elusive ‘best ski holidays’ list.

Being moments away from the piste and therefore the meeting point for the Meribel ski schools, makes it ideal. If any children need picking up and dropping off in town anywhere, you can always call on the daytime Meribel shuttle driver service.

Chalet le Refuge really does have an envious and rather unique position, being just next to the main hub of the Chaudanne lift system, ski in and out. It is 150m across the nursery slopes to the town centre. Chambery airport is just 1h 15m away by car; Lyon and Geneva, around 2 hrs drive away.
